Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mariano Viegas in the 3rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Bernardo Torres prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Bruno Matias came free with the goalkeeper in the 7th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Cristiano Branco could save by the left post. Cristiano Branco showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vasco Viegas in the 14th minute of the match. André Anjos charged in rather forcefully in the 19th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed André Anjos the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 21stth minute of the game Vasco Viegas who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Formigais's Cristiano Branco was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Mariano Viegas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Torres having to interfere. Mariano Viegas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bruno Matias got free with Cristiano Branco in the 32nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After a defensive mix-up in Bruscos's zone, Tiago Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bernardo Torres came out of the goal and Tiago Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Tiago Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot. Formigais's supporters rose to their feet, but Tiago Marques was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bernardo Torres breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 45 minutes, Mariano Viegas managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Formigais's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mariano Viegas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Viegas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Bernardo Torres tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

David Cruz hit a great freekick 52 minutes into the match. Ricardo Gonçalves struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Bernardo Torres didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Formigais. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 55th minute of the game. One of Bruscos:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Formigais:s goal. 1-1 came through a penalty shot after 57 played minutes, when Formigais:s Ricardo Gonçalves calmly waited for Bruscos:s goalkeeper to move before he rolled in the ball by the right post. Cristiano Branco showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vasco Viegas, who was totally free with the ball in the 60th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mariano Viegas got free with Bernardo Torres in the 67th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gaspar Neto hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. Bruscos's Vasco Viegas got a good chance for a goal in the 73rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Eduardo Valente during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Cristiano Branco went to the wrong direction when David Cruz was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Tiago Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bernardo Torres having to interfere. Tiago Marques was extremely unlucky when he, in the 85th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Bernardo Torres made a fantastic save in the 96th minute, when Mariano Viegas sent off a good shot on target. In the 101st minute of the match Formigais got a corner. Bruscos's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ricardo Gonçalves ran over to the corner to take the kick. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Bruscos had won after a very even match.
