Luís Tavares's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rodolfo Portugal read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. 17 minutes into the match, Toutosa FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Rangel came free, but Oliveira Matos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Luís Tavares fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Portugal having to interfere. Oliveira Matos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Rangel in the 28th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Sebastião Rangel had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Oliveira Matos. Toutosa FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Sebastião Rangel was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. In the 39th minute Luís Tavares shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rodolfo Portugal saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Luís Tavares had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. fivves's Rodolfo Portugal proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 43rd minute of the match, managed to save fivves from getting a goal against them. In the 45th minute the ball was on its way in behind fivves's goalkeeper Rodolfo Portugal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in fivves's zone, Vicente Guerreiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Portugal came out of the goal and Vicente Guerreiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After the first half fivves were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Luís Tavares stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. fivves's Rodolfo Portugal played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Luís Tavares in the 58th minute of play. Luís Tavares received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Rodolfo Portugal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Luís Tavares struck a weak shot in the 65th minute. Rodolfo Portugal didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Toutosa FC. Vicente Guerreiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 68th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rodolfo Portugal having to interfere. Benedito Soeiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Matos having to interfere. Sebastião Rangel fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oliveira Matos having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as fivves's Sebastião Rangel slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Oliveira Matos. That made the score 0-3 after 95 minutes of play. The fivves supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing fivves would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
