Lacos FC's Lucas Quaresma got a good chance for a goal in the 19th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 25 minutes into the game, Benedito Soeiro cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-1. Celso Godinho was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 28th minute of the match Manuel Portela sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rodolfo Portugal skillfully saved the ball. Tomás Bessa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Rodolfo Portugal tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Nuno Castilho could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 35th minute of the match, but Celso Godinho made a huge save. Lacos FC's Celso Godinho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sebastião Rangel in the 36th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Sebastião Rangel managed to get in a good position for a shot. fivves's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastião Rangel was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Celso Godinho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Celso Godinho was a little too slow when Sebastião Rangel got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 42nd minute. The score was now 2-1. Lucas Quaresma sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Tomás Bessa to strike the kick off in the second half. Rodolfo Portugal made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tomás Bessa in the 53rd minute of play. Gervásio Vilarinho sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 57th minute, one of Lacos FC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Lacos FC. Nuno Castilho kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Celso Godinho made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benedito Soeiro in the 67th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in fivves's zone, Tomás Bessa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Rodolfo Portugal came out of the goal and Tomás Bessa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 73rd minute the ball was on its way in behind fivves's goalkeeper Rodolfo Portugal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Manuel Portela's late challenge caught a fivves's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Manuel Portela helped the player get up and apologised. Manuel Portela kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Sebastião Rangel might have been able to make a better finish in the 80th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Celso Godinho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Sebastião Rangel ran back to his position shaking his head. After 85 minutes fivves's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Jerónimo Vidal who took care of the corner kick. Jerónimo Vidal made a great header on Lacos FC's corner, it was just that fivves's Rodolfo Portugal managed to reach the ball for a save. In the 86th minute, Sebastião Rangel made a precise shot to the right of Celso Godinho. Lacos FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1.
