Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Manuel Guarda started the match with the kick off. A collision led to Fc Juniores getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Miguel Machado hit a great ball. Filipe Tavares was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The SC Azinhega fans' excitement grew in the 11th match minute when SC Azinhega's Manuel Guarda looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-1 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. When Pedro Trindade fell near the penalty area in the 14th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fc Juniores's protests and gave Pedro Trindade a yellow card for diving instead. In the 14th match minute, Fc Juniores was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Trindade to maneuver through the defense. 15 minutes into the match, Fc Juniores's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Guarda came free, but Jorge Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Afonso Santarém was a little too slow when Pedro Trindade got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 16th minute. The score was now 1-1. Jorge Maura came out of the goal in the 22nd minute to try and stop a shot by SC Azinhega's Manuel Guarda. But to his dismay, Manuel Guarda quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. After 36 minutes of play, SC Azinhega's Manuel Guarda made it 1-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Jorge Maura was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Maura didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Manuel Guarda went, in the 39th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-4 was the resulting score. Artur Torres recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Guarda in the 46th minute of play forced Fc Juniores's goalkeeper Jorge Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jorge Maura took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Artur Torres, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Pedro Trindade was the one to do the kick off. After 52 played minutes Fc Juniores got a freekick which was hit by Pedro Trindade. If Simão Fonseca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Guarda in the 56th minute of play forced Fc Juniores's goalkeeper Jorge Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Fc Juniores's goalkeeper Jorge Maura had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Artur Torres. Jorge Maura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Guarda in the 60th minute of play. 62 minutes into the match, Fc Juniores's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Guarda came free, but Jorge Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Maura showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Paulo Dantas, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 65thth minute of the game Manuel Guarda who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Fc Juniores's Jorge Maura was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Jorge Maura made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Manuel Guarda in the 68th minute of play. José Borba made in the 70th minute of the game a throw-in that took a bad bounce and was taken care of by Fc Juniores's Armindo Araújo. 74 minutes into the match, Fc Juniores's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Guarda came free, but Jorge Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Fc Juniores's Jorge Maura proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 76th minute of the match, managed to save Fc Juniores from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Guarda in the 80th minute of play forced Fc Juniores's goalkeeper Jorge Maura to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 82 minutes into the match, Fc Juniores's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Guarda came free, but Jorge Maura reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 83 minutes into the game, Artur Torres was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Azinhega's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fc Juniores the free kick. Artur Torres hit a great freekick 83 minutes into the match. After 86 played minutes Fc Juniores got a freekick which was hit by Raul Fontes. After having played for 87 minutes, Artur Torres managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Azinhega's supporters crossed their fingers, but Artur Torres was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 90th minute Manuel Guarda shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jorge Maura saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
