Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Emílio Monteiro started the match with the kick off. Gonçalo Miranda could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 4th minute of the match, but Tiago Paredes made a huge save. Heitor Pinho hit a great freekick 5 minutes into the match. Daniel Gomes's late challenge caught a SC Gamelas's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Daniel Gomes helped the player get up and apologised. After 7 played minutes Varsea got a freekick which was hit by Daniel Gomes. Jacinto Martins was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 8th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Luís Neto in the 14th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Pedro Soares prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Luís Neto received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 15th minute. Pedro Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 16 minutes, Luís Neto mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Gamelas and the Varsea players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Varsea booed when SC Gamelas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Luís Neto didn't get a good kick on the ball. Varsea's Daniel Gomes got his second yellow card of the match in the 17th minute. The referee ordered Daniel Gomes off the ground. In the 18th match minute, Varsea was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Gomes to maneuver through the defense. In the 19thth minute of the game Luís Neto who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Varsea's Pedro Soares was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Varsea's Heitor Pinho got a free kick in the 20th minute. After a rather tough play, Varsea's Sandro Pinto got a free kick in the 29th minute. Luís Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some fancy dribbling in the 37th minute, Domingos Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Gamelas's supporters rose to their feet, but Domingos Resende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Pedro Soares breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

54 minutes into the match, Varsea's goalkeeper Pedro Soares had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Luís Neto. In the 56th minute, Domingos Resende reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Pedro Soares. The goal made the score 1-1. If Domingos Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a rather tough play, Varsea's Heitor Pinho got a free kick in the 62nd minute. 64 minutes into the game, Emílio Monteiro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Varsea's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Gamelas the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Domingos Resende in the 67th minute of play forced Varsea's goalkeeper Pedro Soares to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Varsea's Pedro Soares proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Varsea from getting a goal against them. A collision led to Varsea getting a freekick after 70 minutes play. Emílio Monteiro hit a great ball. Gonçalo Miranda received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Tiago Paredes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Varsea's zone, Rogério Abreu stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Soares came out of the goal and Rogério Abreu tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 79th minute, Emílio Monteiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Gonçalo Miranda fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tiago Paredes having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Varsea's zone, Luís Neto stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Pedro Soares came out of the goal and Luís Neto tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. SC Gamelas were awarded a corner in the 92th minute after Varsea's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Jacinto Martins took the corner. After taking down the ball on SC Gamelas's corner Jacinto Martins fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Pedro Soares quite easily take care of the ball. When Gonçalo Miranda came up free with the goalie in the 96th minute, the Varsea fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gonçalo Miranda couldn't finish the play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
