Afonso Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 5th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a rather tough play, Ivecos F C's Éder Costa got a free kick in the 6th minute. In the 8th minute, Afonso Queirós got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afonso Queirós sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Saúl Parente showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Afonso Queirós, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Adelino Neves came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Ivecos F C's Álvaro Brandão. But to his dismay, Álvaro Brandão quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Adelino Neves came out of the goal in the 28th minute to try and stop a shot by Ivecos F C's Alexandre Quadros. But to his dismay, Alexandre Quadros quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. In the 32nd minute Alexandre Quadros shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 35th minute Jorge Figueiredo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Saúl Parente saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Adelino Neves showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aldaír Meireles, who was totally free with the ball in the 36th minute. Afonso Queirós recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 41 minutes into the match, Ivecos F C's goalkeeper Saúl Parente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Afonso Queirós. In the 43rd minute Álvaro Brandão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adelino Neves saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 45 minutes into the match, Éder Costa notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Quarteira F.C's Adelino Neves. Adelino Neves was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Quarteira F.C players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Ivecos F C were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Afonso Queirós made a kick off. With an all-out effort, Ivecos F C's Adelino Neves threw himself towards the right post 52 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Aldaír Meireles, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Afonso Queirós received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Saúl Parente tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Afonso Queirós's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Saúl Parente was relentless in the 60th minute of the game. Saúl Parente took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Dias, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Álvaro Brandão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 65th minute of the match, but Adelino Neves made a huge save. The supporters of Quarteira F.C booed when Ivecos F C was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Amaro didn't get a good kick on the ball. Saúl Parente made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Afonso Queirós in the 67th minute of play. Through an outstanding action, after 72 minutes, Adelino Neves successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Alberto Dias took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 81st minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adelino Neves. Quarteira F.C's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Adelino Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alexandre Quadros, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Aldaír Meireles in the 86th minute of play forced Quarteira F.C's goalkeeper Adelino Neves to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Álvaro Brandão got free with Adelino Neves in the 91st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Adelino Neves took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aldaír Meireles, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The Ivecos F C supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ivecos F C would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
