After a rather tough play, FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's Mauro Seixas got a free kick in the 12th minute. When Ermezinde FC's João Vale in the 13th minute got a chance for a shot 13th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's goalie prevented a goal. If Moisés Serpa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 15th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 19th match minute, Ermezinde FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alfredo Campos to maneuver through the defense. FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's Jorge Bragança got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some careless play in the FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012 defense, Diogo Guarda kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alcides Castilho. The FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012 fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alcides Castilho should have stopped the shot. Jorge Bragança could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 34th minute of the match, but António Cabral made a huge save. Moisés Serpa could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 36th minute of the match, but António Cabral made a huge save. João Vale recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

60 minutes into the game, Jorge Bragança was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. FIM DOS TEMPOS 2012's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ermezinde FC the free kick. Jorge Bragança hit a great freekick 60 minutes into the match. In the 63rd minute João Vale shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alcides Castilho saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Diogo Guarda might have been able to make a better finish in the 65th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Alcides Castilho. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Diogo Guarda ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 70th minute, Patrício Diegues hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rogério Assunção during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 78 minutes into the match, Ermezinde FC's goal looked a bit too open when Jorge Bragança came free, but António Cabral reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rafael Dias hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. After having played for 87 minutes, Diogo Guarda managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ermezinde FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Diogo Guarda was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Ermezinde FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ermezinde FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
