Jesualdo Branco was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 47th minute. SC Canos's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jesualdo Branco made a kick off. Geraldo Amorim showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Eusébio Assis, who was totally free with the ball in the 52nd minute. Fernando Monteiro could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 57th minute of the match, but Geraldo Amorim made a huge save. In the 73rd minute, Fernando Monteiro got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute of the match, Eusébio Assis tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Geraldo Amorim saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line.
