Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Marinos Kefaloulis started the match with the kick off. Marinos Kefaloulis did some fancy footwork in front of goal and succeeded to deceive the defenders so he could slam the ball in 1-0 to the left of a surprised Vicente Matos 5 minutes into the match. After some careless play in the Botelha defense, Marinos Kefaloulis kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Vicente Matos. The Botelha fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Vicente Matos should have stopped the shot. After 12 played minutes Botelha got a freekick which was hit by Paulo Borba. Vítor Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. Inácio Simões blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Vicente Matos having to make a save. Vicente Matos stood somewhat misplaced when Marinos Kefaloulis came free in front of goal and shot 3-0 to the left of him in the 25 minute. 28 minutes into the game, Gil Sousa was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Botelha's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Os Canholas the free kick. Gil Sousa hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. A collision led to Os Canholas getting a freekick after 29 minutes play. Joaquim Amorim hit a great ball. The crowd rose to their feet as Os Canholas's Marinos Kefaloulis slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Vicente Matos. That made the score 4-0 after 34 minutes of play. After having played for 37 minutes, Marinos Kefaloulis managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Os Canholas's supporters crossed their fingers, but Marinos Kefaloulis was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 39th minute, Eduardo Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Os Canholas's Inácio Simões got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Inácio Simões in the 47th minute of play forced Botelha's goalkeeper Vicente Matos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball.

Vítor Magalhães showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nuno Mendes, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. In the 59th match minute, Os Canholas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Eduardo Alves to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th match minute, Botelha was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by António Assis to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Os Canholas's zone, Gil Sousa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vítor Magalhães came out of the goal and Gil Sousa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 70th minute Marinos Kefaloulis shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Matos saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Marinos Kefaloulis in the 74th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Vicente Matos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nuno Mendes kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Gil Sousa made a precise shot to the right of Vítor Magalhães. Os Canholas's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 4-1. After a rather tough play, Os Canholas's Joaquim Amorim got a free kick in the 83rd minute. When Inácio Simões came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Os Canholas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Inácio Simões couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Marinos Kefaloulis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Vicente Matos was relentless in the 90th minute of the game. Vicente Matos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Marinos Kefaloulis's shot from short distance in the 93rd minute. 97 minutes into the match, Os Canholas's Marinos Kefaloulis sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Matos narrowly saved just below the crossbar.
