Antero Salgado started the match with the kick off. Miguel Neto might have been able to make a better finish in the 7th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Jesualdo Falcão. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Neto ran back to his position shaking his head. Belchior Águas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Eusébio Oliveira having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Antero Salgado got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 16th minute, Fernando Almeida hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Antero Salgado struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Eusébio Oliveira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for FC Porto. When FC Porto's Antero Salgado in the 22nd minute got a chance for a shot 22nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Lombardos's goalie prevented a goal. Eusébio Oliveira showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Antero Salgado in the 24th minute of the match. Eusébio Oliveira made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antero Salgado in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, Belchior Águas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of SC Lombardos's Eusébio Oliveira. Eusébio Oliveira was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Eusébio Oliveira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Antero Salgado, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Antero Salgado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Sebastião Valente hit a great freekick 39 minutes into the match. Eusébio Oliveira stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Antero Salgado's shot from short distance in the 41st minute. In the 44th minute, Miguel Neto left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Lombardos fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. In the 47th minute, Miguel Neto made a precise shot to the right of Jesualdo Falcão. FC Porto's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-2.

Lourenço Santos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 58th minute. Jesualdo Falcão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Lourenço Santos fired away a shot on goal. He put a little to much spin on the ball and sent it just wide of the right post. SC Lombardos's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Luís Vale in the 71st minute. Jesualdo Falcão took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lourenço Santos, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 77th minute Antero Salgado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Eusébio Oliveira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Belchior Águas in the 83rd minute of play forced SC Lombardos's goalkeeper Eusébio Oliveira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Eusébio Matias charged in rather forcefully in the 93rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Eusébio Matias the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of FC Porto booed when SC Lombardos was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 94 match minutes in a wonderful position. Eusébio Matias didn't get a good kick on the ball. 95 minutes into the match, SC Lombardos's goal looked a bit too open when Antero Salgado came free, but Eusébio Oliveira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 96th minute, Sebastião Valente hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Belchior Águas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 98th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. SC Lombardos walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
