Horácio Castilho's late challenge caught a Carrazedo FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Horácio Castilho helped the player get up and apologised. In the 5th match minute, MogaDouro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Horácio Castilho to maneuver through the defense. Adérito Espírito Santo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 6th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The attack was good, but when Adérito Espírito Santo in the 8th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. MogaDouro's Horácio Castilho got his second yellow card of the match in the 12th minute. The referee ordered Horácio Castilho off the ground. In the 13th minute, Horácio Castilho hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 23rd minute, Alexandre Gago got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Gago fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Paixão having to interfere. Idalécio Ramires sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carrazedo FC's Gregório Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ivo Pedroso fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Paixão having to interfere. When Idalécio Ramires came up free with the goalie in the 45th minute, the MogaDouro fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Idalécio Ramires couldn't finish the play. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Gregório Teixeira to make the kick off. Gregório Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 57th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reinaldo Vidal having to interfere. Alexandre Ferreira might have been able to make a better finish in the 60th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Reinaldo Vidal. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexandre Ferreira ran back to his position shaking his head. Idalécio Ramires received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Raimundo Paixão tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carrazedo FC's Gregório Teixeira got a good chance for a goal in the 68th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Reinaldo Vidal showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gregório Teixeira in the 71st minute of the match. Raimundo Paixão made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Idalécio Ramires sent off a good shot on target. In the 73rd match minute, Carrazedo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Alexandre Ferreira to maneuver through the defense. In the 77th match minute, MogaDouro was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Amável Caetano to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, MogaDouro's Hermes Raminhos got a free kick in the 80th minute. Carrazedo FC's Antero Vilhena couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 81st minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for MogaDouro. In the 83rd minute, Carrazedo FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Idalécio Ramires fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
