Jaime Tinoco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Samuel Telinhos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Tinoco in the 8th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, SC Avanca's Tobias Cavaco got a free kick in the 9th minute. After a defensive mix-up in SC Avanca's zone, Jaime Tinoco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Samuel Telinhos came out of the goal and Jaime Tinoco tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 16th minute, Jaime Tinoco managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mossamedes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Jaime Tinoco was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Samuel Telinhos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 18th minute, Mossamedes FC's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Nuno Delgado fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jaime Tinoco in the 23rd minute of play forced SC Avanca's goalkeeper Samuel Telinhos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Rúben Silveira hit a great freekick 24 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ademar Correia in the 26th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hermes Sobral saved Mossamedes FC from getting behind. The audience was convinced that Ademar Correia's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Hermes Sobral was relentless in the 31st minute of the game. Alcino Lobo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Samuel Telinhos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alcino Lobo scored 0-1 in the 43rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Samuel Telinhos, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

In the 53rd minute, Nuno Delgado made a precise shot to the right of Hermes Sobral. Mossamedes FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. In the 56th minute, Alcino Lobo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 59th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Avanca's goalkeeper Samuel Telinhos, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Isidro Gonçalves kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. 62 minutes into the match, SC Avanca's goal looked a bit too open when Alcino Lobo came free, but Samuel Telinhos reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 65 played minutes SC Avanca got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Varela. The attack was good, but when Jaime Tinoco in the 67th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Alcino Lobo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mossamedes FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alcino Lobo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. In the 89th minute, one of SC Avanca:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Avanca. Alex Pinho placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! Nuno Delgado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 94th minute. Hermes Sobral tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. SC Avanca's Samuel Telinhos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 98th minute of the match, managed to save SC Avanca from getting a goal against them. The Mossamedes FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Mossamedes FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
