Murilo Semedo made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Celso Miguéis sent off a good shot on target. When Osvaldo Baía came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the SC Gravanco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Osvaldo Baía couldn't finish the play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rogério Bezerra in the 19th minute of play forced SC Gravanco's goalkeeper Caio Moniz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 25 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Castores 1950 CF! The referee gave SC Gravanco a penalty, 26 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Jesualdo Maia, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Castores 1950 CF's Murilo Semedo. 1-0. The audience was convinced that Flávio Vigário's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Caio Moniz was relentless in the 36th minute of the game. If Flávio Vigário had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 44th minute, Rogério Bezerra got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Castores 1950 CF's Flávio Vigário got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 47 minutes into the game, Castores 1950 CF's Flávio Vigário nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Caio Moniz made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Osvaldo Baía to make the kick off. Celso Miguéis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 57th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Castores 1950 CF's Santiago lago got a free kick in the 60th minute. SC Gravanco's Osvaldo Baía managed to work through Castores 1950 CF's defense and was going for an easy goal, but he hit the shot with his toe and the ball flew outside the goal. Osvaldo Baía dejectedly held out his arms as if to ask why the ball hadn't gone in. Caio Moniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Flávio Vigário in the 65th minute. SC Gravanco's Osvaldo Baía got a good chance for a goal in the 69th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 70 played minutes Castores 1950 CF got a freekick which was hit by Tobias Monsanto. When Celso Miguéis came up free with the goalie in the 71st minute, the SC Gravanco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Celso Miguéis couldn't finish the play. Rogério Bezerra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Caio Moniz having to interfere. If Celso Miguéis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Osvaldo Baía received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 85th minute. Murilo Semedo tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Castores 1950 CF's Murilo Semedo played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Osvaldo Baía in the 87th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Osvaldo Baía ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Murilo Semedo was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. The supporters of Castores 1950 CF booed when SC Gravanco was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 93 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ricardo Lage didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Castores 1950 CF's zone, Osvaldo Baía stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Semedo came out of the goal and Osvaldo Baía tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. For all the effort they put into the match, the Castores 1950 CF players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for SC Gravanco.
