Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) When Anselmo Aveiro fell near the penalty area in the 3rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Contim's protests and gave Anselmo Aveiro a yellow card for diving instead. Inácio Mesquita's late challenge caught a SC Cruzetinhos's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Inácio Mesquita helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Contim getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Inácio Mesquita hit a great ball. Ademar Teves received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Roberto Varela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After 10 minutes, Nuno Quirino mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Contim and the SC Cruzetinhos players grew even worse after the yellow card. Roberto Varela had in the 16thth minute some difficulties stopping Vivaldo Tinoco's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. In the 30th minute of the match, Nuno Quirino tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Micael Damásio saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. If Roberto Figueira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Roberto Varela stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Roberto Figueira's shot from short distance in the 42nd minute. In the 85th minute, Anselmo Aveiro made a precise shot to the right of Micael Damásio. SC Cruzetinhos's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0.
