Filipe Fonseca breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-3 lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell David Moutinho to make the kick off. Cláudio Silva took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Delfim Domingues, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Filipe Fonseca made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from David Moutinho in the 62nd minute of play. In the 65th minute Eusébio Neves shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cláudio Silva saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Cláudio Silva was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 90th minute, Outil's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after David Moutinho fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. SC Nogueira's David Moutinho got a good chance for a goal in the 94th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match was over SC Nogueira could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Outil throughout the match.
