The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Carlos Moniz during the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 7 minutes into the game, Jorge Borges was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Torre's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nike United F.C. the free kick. After 7 played minutes Torre got a freekick which was hit by Jorge Borges. José Rodrigues showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ionut Albulescu, who was totally free with the ball in the 11th minute. Nike United F.C.'s Alexandre Pacheco played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Borges in the 12th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Silva in the 15th minute of play forced Nike United F.C.'s goalkeeper Alexandre Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ionut Albulescu sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Borges in the 21st minute of play forced Nike United F.C.'s goalkeeper Alexandre Pacheco to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 44th minute Emanuel Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Pacheco saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.

The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ionut Albulescu struck a weak shot in the 62nd minute. José Rodrigues didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nike United F.C.. José Rodrigues showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ionut Albulescu in the 65th minute of the match. If Ionut Albulescu had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 86th minute, Benedykt Chlapowski got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Benedykt Chlapowski recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 88th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Benedykt Chlapowski had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. With a little luck, Nike United F.C.'s Alexandre Pacheco got control of the ball when Carlos Moniz tried to sneak it across the goal line. Carlos Moniz took the ball and in the 95 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Alexandre Pacheco. Alexandre Pacheco dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. The second half was just like the first, even and exciting. The match ended in a draw.
