Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SL BENFICA 41's Pedro Vides started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Pedro Vides received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 4th minute. Eusébio Soares tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 7 minutes into the match, SL BENFICA 41's goal looked a bit too open when Tomás Pereira came free, but Miguel Ferreira reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 12th minute, Pedro Vides left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SL BENFICA 41 fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. Pedro Vides scored 0-2 in the 21st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Eusébio Soares, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 26th minute, SL BENFICA 41's Filipe Aleixo seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Filipe Aleixo the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of SL BENFICA 41 protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Filipe Aleixo had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. 28 minutes into the match, Cadaval FC's Duarte Leiria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Miguel Ferreira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Carneiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 32nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Miguel Ferreira was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Tomás Pereira showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-2 in the 38 minute of play. 45 minutes into the match, Cadaval FC's goal looked a bit too open when Alexandre Carneiro came free, but Eusébio Soares reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After the first half SL BENFICA 41 were leading 1-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The wind increased when Tomás Pereira made the kick off in the second half. Eusébio Soares showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Carneiro, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Daniel Campos in the 60th minute of play forced SL BENFICA 41's goalkeeper Miguel Ferreira to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Cadaval FC booed when SL BENFICA 41 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pedro Vides didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eusébio Soares made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Alexandre Carneiro in the 83rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Cadaval FC's zone, Gerald van Baarle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Eusébio Soares came out of the goal and Gerald van Baarle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. A collision led to SL BENFICA 41 getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Pedro Vides hit a great ball. The Cadaval FC manager could be seen shouting at his players as they walked down the tunnel after the match. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing SL BENFICA 41 to win.
