Diogo Morais made a fantastic save in the 14th minute, when Raul Barros sent off a good shot on target. Ilídio Salgado fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mário Festas having to interfere. Mário Festas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tomé Lopes, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Ronaldo Perdigão to make the kick off. In the 71st minute there was a penalty for Barrocas FC. Diogo Fraga stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Diogo Morais. 1-2. Diogo Morais made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jordão Sobral in the 74th minute of play. When Severino Caeiro came up free with the goalie in the 77th minute, the Barrocas FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Severino Caeiro couldn't finish the play. 80 minutes into the match, Jordão Sobral notched a goal, 2-2, to the right of SC Vinhaes's Diogo Morais. Diogo Morais was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Barrocas FC's Jerónimo Domingos got a free kick in the 84th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Lopes got free with Mário Festas in the 101st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
