In the 22nd minute Pedro Campos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Nuno Queirós saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 24 minutes into the match, SC Montedor's goalkeeper António Torres had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Carlos Macedo. If Diogo Costa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 27th match minute, SC Boavista was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Daniel Carvalho to maneuver through the defense. After 30 minutes, Tiago Ferreira mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Boavista and the SC Montedor players grew even worse after the yellow card. SC Montedor's António Torres proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 33rd minute of the match, managed to save SC Montedor from getting a goal against them. After a rather tough play, SC Boavista's Daniel Carvalho got a free kick in the 54th minute. After having played for 55 minutes, Pedro Campos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Montedor's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro Campos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Gustavo Domingues fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Boavista's protests and gave Gustavo Domingues a yellow card for diving instead. 72 minutes into the game, Pedro Campos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Nuno Queirós. Pedro Campos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-2. Daniel Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. António Torres showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Vítor Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. António Torres showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Vítor Pinto in the 86th minute of the match.
