SC Antoinha's Josué Lucena got a good chance for a goal in the 21st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 90th minute of the match Ricardo Barbosa sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Amílcar Estrada skillfully saved the ball. If Reinaldo Almeida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 93 minutes into the game, Paulo Fonseca was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player.
