Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Silvano Mascarenhas kicked off to start the match. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Jorge Pedroso in the 9th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Gregório Castro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. A hard shot 14 in the game by Tiago Almeida from a close distance when the talented Gregório Castro managed to make a qualified save. SC Olaia's players were relieved. The supporters of Montelavar FC booed when SC Olaia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ramiro Mourão didn't get a good kick on the ball. Tiago Almeida received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Gregório Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 23rd minute, Jorge Pedroso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 26th minute Jorge Pedroso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gregório Castro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Montelavar FC's Humberto Leão got a free kick in the 27th minute. Tiago Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregório Castro having to interfere. Tiago Almeida who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 33rdth minute tested the skills of Gregório Castro when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Jorge Pedroso had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tiago Almeida fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gregório Castro having to interfere. In the 40th minute, one of SC Olaia:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for SC Olaia. In the 43rd minute there was a penalty for Montelavar FC. Viriato Leiria stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Gregório Castro. 1-0. Sidónio Prada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Bessa having to interfere. Sidónio Prada received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 48th minute. Américo Bessa tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jorge Pedroso was the one to do the kick off. Gregório Castro made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jorge Pedroso in the 53rd minute of play. Humberto Leão struck a weak shot in the 55th minute. Gregório Castro didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Montelavar FC. 57 minutes into the game, Humberto Leão was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Montelavar FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Olaia the free kick. Humberto Leão kicked well hit freekick during the 57th minute of the match. Sidónio Prada fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Américo Bessa having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Ricardo Igrejas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Sidónio Prada could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 66th minute of the match, but Américo Bessa made a huge save. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Olaia's goalkeeper Gregório Castro, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Américo Bessa showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ramiro Mourão, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Jorge Pedroso received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Gregório Castro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gregório Castro came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Montelavar FC's Jorge Pedroso. But to his dismay, Jorge Pedroso quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. After having played for 94 minutes, Jorge Pedroso managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Montelavar FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jorge Pedroso was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal.
