Vicente Vilas Boas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sebastião Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Vilas Boas having to interfere. If Sebastião Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 45 minutes, Sebastião Leal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mascanho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sebastião Leal was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Mateus Menezes was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Mascanho's Joel Gueifão sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Vicente Vilas Boas narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Sebastião Leal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th match minute, Mascanho was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Américo Leite to maneuver through the defense. When Reginaldo Benevides fell near the penalty area in the 82nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Apiao FC's protests and gave Reginaldo Benevides a yellow card for diving instead. Reginaldo Benevides hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. In the 84th minute Sebastião Leal shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Vilas Boas saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Mascanho getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Américo Leite hit a great ball. Vicente Vilas Boas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Leal in the 93rd minute of the match. Sebastião Leal struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Vicente Vilas Boas didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Mascanho. A collision led to Apiao FC getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Amável Chagas hit a great ball. Mascanho's Adelino Borges got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
