Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Santiago Osório made the kick off which started today's match. Joaquim Mafra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Teixeira in the 3rd minute of play. 8 minutes into the match, SC Defezinha's goal looked a bit too open when Santiago Osório came free, but Alexandre Borba reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 10th minute Joel Pacheco shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Mafra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Joaquim Mafra made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Joaquim Teixeira in the 12th minute of play. Sidónio Carmo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Joaquim Mafra showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Joaquim Teixeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. When Sidónio Carmo came up free with the goalie in the 28th minute, the Athletic do Além fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sidónio Carmo couldn't finish the play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Joaquim Teixeira in the 30th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Joaquim Mafra prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 34th minute Hélder Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joaquim Mafra saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Amadeu Graça fell near the penalty area in the 35th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Athletic do Além's protests and gave Amadeu Graça a yellow card for diving instead. Joaquim Mafra stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Joaquim Teixeira's shot from short distance in the 38th minute. If Hélder Resende had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The wind increased when Joaquim Teixeira made the kick off in the second half. A collision led to SC Defezinha getting a freekick after 52 minutes play. Hélder Resende hit a great ball. Joaquim Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Joaquim Mafra having to interfere. Sidónio Carmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Borba having to interfere. In the 63rd minute, Santiago Osório got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in SC Defezinha's zone, Santiago Osório stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alexandre Borba came out of the goal and Santiago Osório tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When Santiago Osório came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Athletic do Além fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Santiago Osório couldn't finish the play. Sidónio Carmo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Borba having to interfere. When Miguel Barros fell near the penalty area in the 77th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Defezinha's protests and gave Miguel Barros a yellow card for diving instead. The referee gave Athletic do Além a penalty, 79 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Diogo Braga, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of SC Defezinha's Alexandre Borba. 1-0. Joaquim Mafra showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Joaquim Teixeira in the 90th minute of the match. In the 98th minute, Hélder Resende got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the SC Defezinha players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Athletic do Além.
