Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Joaquim Neves kicked off to start the match. 10 minutes into the match, SC Cuxerre's goalkeeper David Valente had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Miguel Guarda. If Joaquim Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 17 minutes into the game, Nuno Santos recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of David Valente. Nuno Santos showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-0. If Joaquim Neves had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Miguel Guarda recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 29th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Joaquim Neves in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Viriato Garcia saved Areoza from getting behind. Jorge Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Nuno Santos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 54 minutes into the match, Areoza's Nuno Santos sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that David Valente narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Areoza's Viriato Garcia proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 72nd minute of the match, managed to save Areoza from getting a goal against them. After a defensive mix-up in Areoza's zone, Júlio Borges stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Viriato Garcia came out of the goal and Júlio Borges tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Viriato Garcia was a little too slow when Joaquim Neves got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 81st minute. The score was now 2-1. After 85 played minutes Areoza got a freekick which was hit by Adelino Machado. Miguel Guarda sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Areoza fans cheered their team off the field, for while SC Cuxerre had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
