With an all-out effort, SLBacktown's Nuno Jesus threw himself towards the right post 22 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Sandro Braga, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. Sandro Braga received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nuno Jesus tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 27th minute, Sandro Braga got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The referee ignored Aveloso's protests and gave Francisco Oliveira a yellow card for diving instead. After 37 played minutes Aveloso got a freekick which was hit by Francisco Oliveira. After recieving a nice pass, SLBacktown's Normando Coimbra tried to score from far away in the 38th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. When SLBacktown's Sandro Braga in the 40th minute got a chance for a shot 40th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Aveloso's goalie prevented a goal. The audience was convinced that Sandro Braga's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Nuno Jesus was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Hélder Campos was the one to do the kick off. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Luís Eanes during the 55th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sandro Braga in the 69th minute of play forced Aveloso's goalkeeper Nuno Jesus to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Nuno Jesus was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 92 minutes, Bruno Matias successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. After a rather tough play, SLBacktown's Luís Eanes got a free kick in the 96th minute. After 99 minutes SLBacktown's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Artur Moura who took care of the corner kick. Jorge Zambujal kicked well hit freekick during the 99th minute of the match.
