Vasco Mota kicked well hit freekick during the 52nd minute of the match. If Vicente Ponte had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Mendigos FC's Rogério Castro got a free kick in the 73rd minute. In the 76th minute Abel Gueifão shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Henrique Meireles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mendigos FC's Vasco Mota couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 97th minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Grupo Desp. Santa Marinha. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Grupo Desp. Santa Marinha had won after a very even match.
