The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 6th minute of the match Basílio Curado sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Miguel Coelho skillfully saved the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Manuel Franco in the 9th minute of play forced Unidos há Folha's goalkeeper Miguel Coelho to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 17th minute of the match, Porfírio Bandeira got a very nice opportunity to score, but Miguel Coelho was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. With an all-out effort, Ramos's Miguel Coelho threw himself towards the right post 18 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Manuel Franco, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. In a very dangerous position, a player in Unidos há Folha fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 21st minute. Penalty! In the 25th minute Ramos were awarded a corner. Graciano Gouveia went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner ended in Graciano Gouveia almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Unidos há Folha's Miguel Coelho did a great save. António Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Marcos Esteves having to interfere. Eusébio Baptista's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Marcos Esteves read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 29th minute of play. Unidos há Folha's Miguel Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Franco in the 33rd minute of play. Miguel Coelho came out of the goal in the 35th minute to try and stop a shot by Ramos's Tomé Vilaverde. But to his dismay, Tomé Vilaverde quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. 40 minutes into the game, Ramos's Porfírio Bandeira nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Unidos há Folha's Eusébio Baptista got a good chance for a goal in the 45th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 48 minutes into the match, Unidos há Folha's goalkeeper Miguel Coelho had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Porfírio Bandeira.

The wind increased when Eusébio Baptista made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Ramos's zone, António Marques stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marcos Esteves came out of the goal and António Marques tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Miguel Coelho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tomé Vilaverde in the 59th minute of the match. Porfírio Bandeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Coelho having to interfere. After having played for 63 minutes, Porfírio Bandeira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ramos's supporters crossed their fingers, but Porfírio Bandeira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Miguel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porfírio Bandeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 69th minute. Unidos há Folha's Miguel Coelho played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Manuel Franco in the 70th minute of play. Miguel Coelho showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Porfírio Bandeira, who was totally free with the ball in the 72nd minute. 73 minutes into the game, Ramos's Fábio Graça nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Miguel Coelho made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 4-0. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Porfírio Bandeira in the 77th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Miguel Coelho saved Unidos há Folha from getting behind. Porfírio Bandeira charged in rather forcefully in the 79th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Porfírio Bandeira the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 79th match minute, Ramos was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Porfírio Bandeira to maneuver through the defense. 82 minutes into the match, Unidos há Folha's goal looked a bit too open when Manuel Franco came free, but Miguel Coelho reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Manuel Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Miguel Coelho having to interfere. Porfírio Bandeira scored 5-0 in the 93rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Miguel Coelho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. There was no doubt that Ramos were the better team. Ramos's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
