Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Norberto Pinheiro took the kick off in the first half of the match. After 10 played minutes Penafiel got a freekick which was hit by Rodrigo Peseiro. Hélio Godinho made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Jaime Monteiro sent off a good shot on target. The supporters of Penafiel booed when SC Sabuzedo was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 12 match minutes in a wonderful position. Carlos Abreu didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 14 minutes, Plácido Moutinho mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penafiel and the SC Sabuzedo players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 14th match minute, Penafiel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Plácido Moutinho to maneuver through the defense. When Rodrigo Peseiro fell near the penalty area in the 16th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Penafiel's protests and gave Rodrigo Peseiro a yellow card for diving instead. In the 16th minute, Rodrigo Peseiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hélio Godinho showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jaime Monteiro in the 17th minute of the match. If Edgar Gentil had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edgar Gentil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Diogo Santos having to interfere. SC Sabuzedo's Jaime Monteiro got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Diogo Santos stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Norberto Pinheiro's shot from short distance in the 34th minute. In the 36th minute, Norberto Pinheiro ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Diogo Santos was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. After having played for 40 minutes, Edgar Gentil managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Penafiel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Edgar Gentil was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jaime Monteiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 45th minute, Francisco Rodrigues left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Sabuzedo fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jaime Monteiro to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, SC Sabuzedo's Jaime Monteiro made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Hélio Godinho was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 66th minute of the match João Guerra shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Diogo Santos showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Carlos Abreu kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. Norberto Pinheiro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 69th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Marco Valente kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. After 80 minutes, Norberto Pinheiro mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Penafiel and the SC Sabuzedo players grew even worse after the yellow card. Norberto Pinheiro hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After having played for 86 minutes, Francisco Rodrigues managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Sabuzedo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Francisco Rodrigues was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When the match had gone on for 88 minutes, Jaime Monteiro put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Hélio Godinho. Palmiro Noronha took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 93rd minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Diogo Santos. SC Sabuzedo's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. SC Sabuzedo's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
