But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sérgio Guarda couldn't finish the play. Cristiano Henriques kicked well hit freekick during the 16th minute of the match. 18 minutes into the match, João Pinto had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Delfim Moniz. real das ribeiras's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that João Pinto was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-2. Delfim Moniz made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Diogo Magalhães in the 29th minute of play. After the first half Salgueira FC were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Sérgio Guarda to make the kick off. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Pinto got free with Delfim Moniz in the 52nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 53rd match minute, real das ribeiras was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Catarino Moniz to maneuver through the defense. Delfim Moniz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Eduardo Magalhães in the 55th minute of the match. Delfim Moniz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from João Pinto, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Delfim Moniz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Diogo Magalhães in the 58th minute. The supporters of real das ribeiras booed when Salgueira FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Júlio Moura didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sérgio Guarda succeeded in the game's 78th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. Sérgio Guarda blasted a shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Hugo Machado having to make a save. In the 83rd minute, Diogo Magalhães hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 84th minute of the match Catarino Moniz shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hugo Machado showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. A collision led to Salgueira FC getting a freekick after 85 minutes play. Júlio Moura hit a great ball. In the 88th minute Eduardo Magalhães shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Delfim Moniz saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 93 minutes into the match, real das ribeiras's goalkeeper Delfim Moniz had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by João Pinto. 94 minutes into the match, Salgueira FC's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Guarda came free, but Hugo Machado reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Salgueira FC had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
