In the 4th minute Xavier Ramos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fabiano Gama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 4 minutes into the game, Sílvio Gomes was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Barbudo FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Orbida the free kick. In the 4th match minute, Barbudo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sílvio Gomes to maneuver through the defense. In the 6th match minute, Barbudo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Ramires to maneuver through the defense. After 8 played minutes Barbudo FC got a freekick which was hit by Fábio Ramires. Fabiano Gama was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 9th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Sandro Porto. After 11 minutes of play, Barbudo FC's Vicente Leal made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Alexandre Leite was left in no man's land by his defense there! Barbudo FC's Vicente Leal got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 19th match minute, Orbida was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Sandro Porto to maneuver through the defense. Fabiano Gama stood somewhat misplaced when Xavier Ramos came free in front of goal and shot 1-1 to the left of him in the 25 minute. A collision led to Orbida getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Joaquim Pinto hit a great ball. The supporters of Orbida booed when Barbudo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fábio Ramires didn't get a good kick on the ball. 34 minutes into the match, Barbudo FC's goal looked a bit too open when Xavier Ramos came free, but Fabiano Gama reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Afonso Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 36th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 42nd match minute, Barbudo FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fábio Ramires to maneuver through the defense. When Xavier Ramos came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Orbida fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xavier Ramos couldn't finish the play. Afonso Borba sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xavier Ramos stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Afonso Borba had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rd minute, Fábio Ramires hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fabiano Gama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Afonso Borba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Diego Gentil fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Leite having to interfere. Afonso Borba received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Fabiano Gama tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Xavier Ramos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Fabiano Gama having to interfere. In the 67th minute, Vicente Leal got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fabiano Gama showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Xavier Ramos in the 72nd minute of the match. 73 minutes into the match, Xavier Ramos had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Fabiano Gama. Barbudo FC's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Xavier Ramos was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-1. Joaquim Pinto charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joaquim Pinto the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Joaquim Pinto kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. In the 81st minute, Nuno Alves hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 93rd minute, Afonso Borba got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
