Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Simão Almeida started the match with the kick off. In the 2nd minute, Luís Araújo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Alexandre Reis showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Luís Araújo, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. With a little luck, SC Loural's Sérgio Pinto got control of the ball when Sérgio Domingos tried to sneak it across the goal line. 7 minutes into the match, Tissoaria's goal looked a bit too open when Joaquim Araújo came free, but Alexandre Reis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 10 minutes into the match, Joaquim Araújo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Tissoaria's Alexandre Reis. Alexandre Reis was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. An unexpectedly hard shot by Simão Almeida in the 15th minute of play forced SC Loural's goalkeeper Sérgio Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Tissoaria booed when SC Loural was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. António Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Loural's Sérgio Pinto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Simão Almeida in the 22nd minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Óscar Barbosa in the 26th minute of play forced Tissoaria's goalkeeper Alexandre Reis to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Domingos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 30th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Pinto having to interfere. Silvano Lencastre fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sérgio Pinto having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hermenegildo Trigueiro in the 37th minute of play forced SC Loural's goalkeeper Sérgio Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Joaquim Araújo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 42nd minute, Hermenegildo Trigueiro hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Joaquim Araújo made a kick off. The long shot by Vítor Silva in the 53rd minute really tested Alexandre Reis's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. 55 minutes into the game, Luís Araújo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Loural's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Tissoaria the free kick. A collision led to SC Loural getting a freekick after 55 minutes play. Luís Araújo hit a great ball. Simão Almeida recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 60th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 63rd minute, Óscar Barbosa got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Joaquim Araújo managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Loural's supporters rose to their feet, but Joaquim Araújo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alexandre Reis breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Sérgio Pinto made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Simão Almeida in the 74th minute of play. Sérgio Pinto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Simão Almeida, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. An unexpectedly hard shot by Sérgio Domingos in the 78th minute of play forced SC Loural's goalkeeper Sérgio Pinto to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 81 played minutes Tissoaria got a freekick which was hit by Hermenegildo Trigueiro. Óscar Barbosa who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 84thth minute tested the skills of Alexandre Reis when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 85 minutes into the match, SC Loural's Joaquim Araújo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Alexandre Reis narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Simão Almeida sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Sérgio Domingos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SC Loural's zone, Silvano Lencastre stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sérgio Pinto came out of the goal and Silvano Lencastre tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 94 minutes into the match, SC Loural's goal looked a bit too open when Sérgio Domingos came free, but Sérgio Pinto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Simão Almeida might have been able to make a better finish in the 96th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Sérgio Pinto. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Simão Almeida ran back to his position shaking his head.
