Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) 5 minutes into the match, Rui Resende notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Gorgoco FC's Diogo Anjos. Diogo Anjos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After 20 minutes of play, SC Coentros's Rui Resende made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Diogo Anjos was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jorge Magalhães made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Diogo Henriques sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, SC Coentros's Eusébio Ferreira got a free kick in the 25th minute. After 27 played minutes SC Coentros got a freekick which was hit by Abel Melo. 29 minutes into the match, SC Coentros's Abel Melo sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Diogo Anjos narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Jorge Magalhães stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of André Moura's shot from short distance in the 31st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Diogo Henriques got free with Jorge Magalhães in the 42nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Abel Melo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. André Moura was the one to do the kick off. After some careless play in the Gorgoco FC defense, Rui Resende kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Diogo Anjos. The Gorgoco FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Diogo Anjos should have stopped the shot. When Gorgoco FC's André Moura in the 57th minute got a chance for a shot 57th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye SC Coentros's goalie prevented a goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Diogo Henriques in the 60th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Jorge Magalhães saved SC Coentros from getting behind. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Abel Melo in the 62nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Diogo Anjos saved Gorgoco FC from getting behind. With a little luck, Gorgoco FC's Diogo Anjos got control of the ball when Rui Resende tried to sneak it across the goal line. Sérgio Barbosa charged in rather forcefully in the 64th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Sérgio Barbosa the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Gorgoco FC getting a freekick after 64 minutes play. Sérgio Barbosa hit a great ball. André Moura fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jorge Magalhães having to interfere. When Alexandre Esteves fell near the penalty area in the 75th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gorgoco FC's protests and gave Alexandre Esteves a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of SC Coentros booed when Gorgoco FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Alexandre Esteves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Diogo Anjos stood somewhat misplaced when Rui Resende came free in front of goal and shot 0-4 to the left of him in the 80 minute. André Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 84th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When David Pires fell near the penalty area in the 86th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Coentros's protests and gave David Pires a yellow card for diving instead. David Pires kicked well hit freekick during the 86th minute of the match. The SC Coentros supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing SC Coentros would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
