Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Fabian Chrzan got the match started through his kick off. BENFICA's Alexandre Garcia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Paulo Aguiar in the 6th minute of play. The nice shot from Miguel Teixeira in the 7thth minute just in front of the goal should have ended in point on the board, but Alexandre Garcia had a great feel for the game and superbly saved the ball from getting in by the left post. Alexandre Garcia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Teixeira in the 10th minute. Gustavo Martins recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vítor Rodrigues kicked well hit freekick during the 18th minute of the match. BENFICA's Miguel Vaz got a good chance for a goal in the 24th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Miguel Teixeira fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Alexandre Garcia having to interfere. 28 minutes into the match, BENFICA's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Martins came free, but Alexandre Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 30 minutes of play, BENFICA's Fabian Chrzan made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Sérgio Vale was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the BENFICA defense, Paulo Aguiar kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Alexandre Garcia. The BENFICA fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Alexandre Garcia should have stopped the shot. BENFICA's Fabian Chrzan got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a rather tough play, SC Gaifar's Miguel Teixeira got a free kick in the 40th minute. With a little luck, BENFICA's Alexandre Garcia got control of the ball when Miguel Teixeira tried to sneak it across the goal line. Alexandre Garcia made a fantastic save in the 46th minute, when Gustavo Martins sent off a good shot on target. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Paulo Aguiar was the one to do the kick off. Miguel Teixeira kicked well hit freekick during the 53rd minute of the match. Miguel Vaz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Sérgio Vale having to make a save. Gustavo Martins struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Alexandre Garcia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Gaifar. If Paulo Aguiar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. A collision led to SC Gaifar getting a freekick after 62 minutes play. Vicente Soares hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fabian Chrzan in the 65th minute of play forced SC Gaifar's goalkeeper Sérgio Vale to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sérgio Vale made an important save on a dangerous shot by Miguel Vaz in the 67th minute. When Paulo Aguiar fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored SC Gaifar's protests and gave Paulo Aguiar a yellow card for diving instead. Paulo Aguiar kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. If Miguel Teixeira had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 72nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alexandre Garcia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gustavo Martins in the 73rd minute of the match. 75 minutes into the match, SC Gaifar's goal looked a bit too open when Fabian Chrzan came free, but Sérgio Vale reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Alexandre Garcia took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Miguel Teixeira, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 83rd minute Paulo Aguiar shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alexandre Garcia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 84 minutes into the match, BENFICA's goal looked a bit too open when Gustavo Martins came free, but Alexandre Garcia reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Manuel Soares got free with Sérgio Vale in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
