After a rather tough play, SC Romariz's António Garcia got a free kick in the 26th minute. In the 27th minute of the match Abílio Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but António Gueifão skillfully saved the ball. Filipe Gomess short, quick shot in the 28thth minute got Rubim Couto to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. A nice corner shot did that Duarte Brás got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Rubim Couto quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. 36 minutes into the match, Funcheira's goal looked a bit too open when Ricardo Machado came free, but Rubim Couto reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Rogério Brito sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 42 minutes into the match, SC Romariz's goal looked a bit too open when Rui Lobo came free, but António Gueifão reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Funcheira's Rubim Couto played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Machado in the 44th minute of play.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ricardo Machado made a kick off. António Garcia hit a great freekick 59 minutes into the match. Rubim Couto took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Filipe Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience cheered loudly when Abílio Fonseca's long shot in the 68th minute became 2-1 when the ball went to the left of and passed António Gueifão. SC Romariz's Afonso Almeida suffered a concussion after 72 minutes and had to leave the field. When Zacarias Ponte fell near the penalty area in the 72nd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Funcheira's protests and gave Zacarias Ponte a yellow card for diving instead. Zacarias Ponte hit a great freekick 72 minutes into the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 77th minute, Filipe Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Romariz's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rubim Couto breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
