Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Romariz's Ricardo Machado started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. If Alexandrino Magalhães had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Lucílio Vigário fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without António Gueifão having to interfere. Filipe Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Josué Moita having to interfere. António Gueifão showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Alexandrino Magalhães in the 11th minute of the match. A collision led to SC Romariz getting a freekick after 12 minutes play. Augusto Castro hit a great ball. Lucílio Vigário sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 16th minute, Alexandrino Magalhães left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Grem United fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Josué Moita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Machado in the 20th minute of the match. In the 24th minute of the match Delfim Fonseca sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Josué Moita skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 25th minute, Filipe Gomes managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Romariz's supporters rose to their feet, but Filipe Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Josué Moita breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lucílio Vigário got free with António Gueifão in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Ricardo Machado had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 35th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of SC Romariz booed when Grem United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gervásio Bettencourt didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Romariz's António Gueifão played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alexandrino Magalhães in the 41st minute of play. Lucílio Vigário sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Alexandrino Magalhães was the one to do the kick off. Josué Moita showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ricardo Machado in the 53rd minute of the match. 55 minutes into the game, Augusto Castro was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Romariz's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Grem United the free kick. Augusto Castro kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. In the 56th minute, Joaquim Barcelos sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and SC Romariz's António Gueifão didn't even have to move. In the 58th minute Ricardo Machado shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Josué Moita saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 64 minutes into the match, SC Romariz's Ricardo Machado sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Josué Moita narrowly saved just below the crossbar. António Gueifão came out of the goal in the 66th minute to try and stop a shot by Grem United's Lucílio Vigário. But to his dismay, Lucílio Vigário quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Grem United's Josué Moita played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricardo Machado in the 71st minute of play. SC Romariz's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Duarte Brás in the 73rd minute. The corner led SC Romariz's Duarte Brás to fire away a dangerous shot which Josué Moita despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. Josué Moita was in exellent shape and made a fantastic save when he, in the 75th minute of the match, managed to get hold of the ball after a long shot from Delfim Fonseca. Ricardo Machado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 84th minute, António Garcia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 91 minutes of play, SC Romariz's Filipe Gomes made it 2-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Josué Moita was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some fancy dribbling in the 97th minute, Rodrigo Aleixo managed to get in a good position for a shot. Grem United's supporters rose to their feet, but Rodrigo Aleixo was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. António Gueifão breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
