In the 10th minute Samuel Amaro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cristiano Martins saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 10th minute, Samuel Amaro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Pedreiras fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. The audience thought a goal was coming when João Simões got free with João Corte-Real in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 21st minute Alberto Valente shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but João Corte-Real saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 23 minutes, Eduardo Esteves managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Frechao FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Eduardo Esteves was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Pedreiras's João Corte-Real played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Alberto Valente in the 25th minute of play. In the 28th minute, Paulo Maciel hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Pedreiras's João Corte-Real proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 32nd minute of the match, managed to save Pedreiras from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Graciano Fagundes in the 39th minute of play forced Frechao FC's goalkeeper Cristiano Martins to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Cristiano Martins took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Samuel Amaro, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Graciano Fagundes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 59thth minute tested the skills of Cristiano Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Graciano Fagundes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cristiano Martins having to interfere. João Simões sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 79 minutes, Fernando Machado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Frechao FC and the Pedreiras players grew even worse after the yellow card. When the match was over Pedreiras could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than Frechao FC throughout the match.
