Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) SC Sages's Sebastião Amaro started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mário Luz in the 6th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Xavier Ramos prevented the ball from getting in the gole. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rui Matias in the 9th minute of play forced SC Casainho's goalkeeper Rogério Morais to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sebastião Amaro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 10th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Xavier Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Luz in the 12th minute of play. When Rogério Neto came up free with the goalie in the 14th minute, the SC Casainho fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rogério Neto couldn't finish the play. Rogério Netos short, quick shot in the 15thth minute got Xavier Ramos to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. If Sebastião Amaro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 25th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mário Luz in the 27th minute of play forced SC Sages's goalkeeper Xavier Ramos to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Xavier Ramos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mário Luz in the 30th minute of play. Rogério Neto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 32nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Rui Matias fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rogério Morais having to interfere. Mário Luz recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 37th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to SC Sages getting a freekick after 38 minutes play. Gabriel Machado hit a great ball. Rodrigo Aleixo kicked well hit freekick during the 41st minute of the match. Afonso Baptista, 42 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. Mário Luz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Xavier Ramos having to make a save. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mário Luz to strike the kick off in the second half. Xavier Ramos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mário Luz, who was totally free with the ball in the 53rd minute. 56 minutes into the game, Gabriel Machado was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Sages's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Casainho the free kick. Tiago Matos kicked well hit freekick during the 60th minute of the match. After having played for 66 minutes, Rogério Neto managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Casainho's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rogério Neto was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 74 minutes into the game, Gabriel Gaspar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. SC Sages's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Casainho the free kick. After 73 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for SC Sages! Mariano Macedo kicked well hit freekick during the 79th minute of the match. Mário Luz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 82nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Xavier Ramos having to interfere. Xavier Ramos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rogério Neto in the 86th minute of the match. In the 89thth minute of the game Sandro Nogueira who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but SC Sages's Xavier Ramos was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 91st minute of the match, Sebastião Amaro tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rogério Morais saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The supporters of SC Sages booed when SC Casainho was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 91 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Moreira didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rogério Neto struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Xavier Ramos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for SC Casainho. Rogério Neto's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Xavier Ramos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 97th minute of play.
