Ivo Águas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Valdemar Silveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Aprígio Caldas in the 14thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Bruno Vidigal, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. A collision led to Adrao getting a freekick after 19 minutes play. Valdemar Silveira hit a great ball. When Aprígio Caldas came up free with the goalie in the 21st minute, the Odemira fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Aprígio Caldas couldn't finish the play. Carlos Leal received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Ivo Águas tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 26th minute, Joaquim Brandão hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ivo Águas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Carlos Leal in the 28th minute of play. In the 30th match minute, Odemira was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Albertino Caiado to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Albertino Caiado to strike the kick off in the second half. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Adrao's goalkeeper Bruno Vidigal, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 55th minute, Aprígio Caldas managed to get in a good position for a shot. Odemira's supporters rose to their feet, but Aprígio Caldas was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
