In the 9th minute of the match Sebastião Aleixo sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Leonel Mota skillfully saved the ball. Leonel Mota showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jorge Faria in the 18th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jorge Faria in the 19th minute of play forced Catujalense FC's goalkeeper Leonel Mota to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Catujalense FC's Daniel Prada got a free kick in the 21st minute. 23 minutes into the game, SC Prazeres's Luís Dantas nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. After some fancy dribbling in the 32nd minute, Raul Ventura managed to get in a good position for a shot. Catujalense FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Raul Ventura was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ricardo Cruz breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Catujalense FC booed when SC Prazeres was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rodrigo Faria didn't get a good kick on the ball. SC Prazeres's supporters crossed their fingers, but Luís Dantas was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The Catujalense FC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching SC Prazeres's performance. The match ended with a win for SC Prazeres.
