A collision led to Famalicao getting a freekick after 6 minutes play. Carlos Ribeiro hit a great ball. Sérgio Bernardes who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 7thth minute tested the skills of Gonçalo Vieira when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 13 minutes into the match, Hélder Silva notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of DMRR UNITED's Murilo Pimenta. Murilo Pimenta was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some careless play in the Famalicao defense, Sérgio Bernardes kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Gonçalo Vieira. The Famalicao fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Gonçalo Vieira should have stopped the shot. Sérgio Bernardes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Gonçalo Vieira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When David Santarém came up free with the goalie in the 37th minute, the Famalicao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that David Santarém couldn't finish the play. Carlos Ribeiro took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Murilo Pimenta. Murilo Pimenta dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-2. After a rather tough play, Famalicao's Carlos Ribeiro got a free kick in the 45th minute. Sérgio Bernardes didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 2-2 via right post in the game's 46th minute. DMRR UNITED's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The score stood at 2-2 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hélder Silva to make the kick off. In the 53rd match minute, DMRR UNITED was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Enzo Couto to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 55 minutes, Hélder Silva managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Famalicao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hélder Silva was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Famalicao's Gonçalo Vieira played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Vítor Travassos in the 59th minute of play. The crowd rose to their feet as Hélder Silva kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Murilo Pimenta. That made the score 2-3 in the 60 minute of play. Marcos Vilanova kicked well hit freekick during the 67th minute of the match. When Famalicao's Hélder Silva in the 68th minute got a chance for a shot 68th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye DMRR UNITED's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in DMRR UNITED's zone, Hélder Silva stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Murilo Pimenta came out of the goal and Hélder Silva tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 82nd minute, Jorge Cunha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Famalicao's zone, Sérgio Bernardes stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gonçalo Vieira came out of the goal and Sérgio Bernardes tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 91st minute, Sérgio Bernardes made a precise shot to the right of Gonçalo Vieira. Famalicao's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-3. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Américo Paredes during the 96th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Famalicao getting a freekick after 96 minutes play. Américo Paredes hit a great ball. Enzo Couto didn't quite understand what happened when in the 98 minute of the game managed to get a great opportunity for a goal and then missed the goal by a feet. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
