Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Edgar Faria started the match with the kick off. Albérico Quental hit a great freekick 13 minutes into the match. Marcos Dantas shot from long distance in the 14th minute, but Micael Amaro was prepared and stopped the ball at the left post. Micael Amaro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Edgar Faria in the 17th minute of the match. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Edgar Faria managed to get in a good position for a shot. FC Porto's supporters rose to their feet, but Edgar Faria was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Micael Amaro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Joaquim Bulhosa sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Edgar Faria blasted a shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Micael Amaro having to make a save. Joaquim Bulhosa received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Micael Amaro tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of FC Porto booed when Areeiro FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 28 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sebastião Vidigal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 34th minute Filipe Braga shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Luís Ponte saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Filipe Braga blasted a shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Luís Ponte having to make a save. FC Porto's Luís Ponte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Filipe Braga in the 39th minute of play. Filipe Braga kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Micael Amaro was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Joaquim Bulhosa showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 47 minute of play. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Filipe Braga made the kick off in the second half. When Angélico Cunha fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored FC Porto's protests and gave Angélico Cunha a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, FC Porto's Angélico Cunha got a free kick in the 56th minute. Filipe Braga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 61 minutes into the match, FC Porto's goalkeeper Luís Ponte had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tomé Azenha. The audience thought a goal was coming when Tomé Azenha got free with Luís Ponte in the 65th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 68th minute, Albérico Quental hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After some fancy dribbling in the 70th minute, Joaquim Bulhosa managed to get in a good position for a shot. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 87 played minutes Areeiro FC got a freekick which was hit by Aquilino Mendes. Joaquim Bulhosa recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 91st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After having played for 94 minutes, Joaquim Bulhosa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. FC Porto's supporters crossed their fingers, but Joaquim Bulhosa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Areeiro FC's Micael Amaro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Joaquim Bulhosa in the 97th minute of play.
