Quintino Medeiros didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gondivai FC. 11 minutes into the match, S.C.P 2020's goalkeeper Quintino Medeiros had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by André Pinheiro. In the 14th minute, Diamantino Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 18th match minute, S.C.P 2020 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jaime Graça to maneuver through the defense. Emílio Leite made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Amílcar Fernandes in the 20th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in S.C.P 2020's zone, André Pinheiro stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Quintino Medeiros came out of the goal and André Pinheiro tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Carlos Lima received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 24th minute. Quintino Medeiros tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Gondivai FC's Emílio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Fernandes in the 31st minute of play. Amílcar Fernandes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emílio Leite having to interfere. 33 minutes into the game, Ricardo Aguiar was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Gondivai FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave S.C.P 2020 the free kick. In the 34th match minute, Gondivai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ricardo Aguiar to maneuver through the defense. In the 35th match minute, Gondivai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Vítor Dantas to maneuver through the defense. Gondivai FC's Emílio Leite played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Amílcar Fernandes in the 36th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amílcar Fernandes in the 47th minute of play forced Gondivai FC's goalkeeper Emílio Leite to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Carlos Lima was the one to do the kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Gondivai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Fernandes came free, but Emílio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Amílcar Fernandes in the 54th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Emílio Leite prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 60th minute Carlos Lima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Quintino Medeiros saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Delfim Roriz who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 64thth minute tested the skills of Emílio Leite when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Delfim Roriz blasted a shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Emílio Leite having to make a save. In the 74th match minute, Gondivai FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gaspar Campos to maneuver through the defense. Eurico Junqueira shot a hard long shot which touched the left pole and just rolled over the goal line behind Emílio Leite. 75 minutes into the game was 1-1. 80 minutes into the match, Gondivai FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amílcar Fernandes came free, but Emílio Leite reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Delfim Roriz received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Emílio Leite tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Amílcar Fernandes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
