When the match clock showed 21 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Reinaldo Júdice sped through SC Garrobo's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Júlio Simões. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Cláudio Marques in the 26th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Romão Pádua prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 26 minutes into the game, Henrique Gama was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Nabais's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave SC Garrobo the free kick. In the 27th minute, Henrique Gama hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Reinaldo Júdice was the one to do the kick off. Júlio Simões showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Reinaldo Júdice in the 54th minute of the match. Nicolau Faria received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 56th minute. Júlio Simões tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cláudio Marques was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 92nd minute. SC Garrobo's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Romão Pádua made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cláudio Marques in the 95th minute of play. Neither set of supporters seemed pleased with the draw, but both teams had played equally well today.
