Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Éder Teves in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Júlio Simões prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Aldo Fiúza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Júlio Simões having to interfere. Valbom United's Cassiano Lameirinhas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cláudio Marques in the 24th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Valbom United's zone, Sebastião Leal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cassiano Lameirinhas came out of the goal and Sebastião Leal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Cláudio Marques fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassiano Lameirinhas having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Valbom United's Adriano Cabral got a free kick in the 28th minute. After 29 minutes, Pedro Delgado mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the SC Garrobo and the Valbom United players grew even worse after the yellow card. After a rather tough play, SC Garrobo's Pedro Delgado got a free kick in the 29th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

After 54 minutes of play SC Garrobo's Pedro Delgado was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 55th match minute, SC Garrobo was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Pedro Delgado to maneuver through the defense. Éder Teves was extremely unlucky when he, in the 56th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. After some fancy dribbling in the 59th minute, Éder Teves managed to get in a good position for a shot. Valbom United's supporters rose to their feet, but Éder Teves was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Júlio Simões breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Cassiano Lameirinhas made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mariano Esteves in the 62nd minute of play. After 63 played minutes Valbom United got a freekick which was hit by Adriano Cabral. Éder Teves might have been able to make a better finish in the 67th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Júlio Simões. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Éder Teves ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 70 minutes, Cláudio Marques managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Garrobo's supporters crossed their fingers, but Cláudio Marques was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Valbom United's goal looked a bit too open when Sebastião Leal came free, but Cassiano Lameirinhas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Cassiano Lameirinhas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sebastião Leal in the 73rd minute of the match. Sebastião Leal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cassiano Lameirinhas having to interfere. With a little luck, SC Garrobo's Júlio Simões got control of the ball when Éder Teves tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maurício Azevedo hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. SC Garrobo were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
