Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) In the 3rd minute, Lions FC's Dércio Abreu ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Mariano Martins. Mariano Martins yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0. If Alfredo Sousa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 13 played minutes Darque FC got a freekick which was hit by Catarino Assunção. Jordão Rocha could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 14th minute of the match, but Mariano Martins made a huge save. When Alexandre Aleixo fell near the penalty area in the 15th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Darque FC's protests and gave Alexandre Aleixo a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Darque FC getting a freekick after 16 minutes play. Alexandre Aleixo hit a great ball. After recieving a nice pass, Lions FC's Dário Abrantes tried to score from far away in the 16th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. Jordão Rocha who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 18thth minute tested the skills of Mariano Martins when he managed to save the team from getting behind. A collision led to Darque FC getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Bento Araújo hit a great ball. The audience was convinced that Dércio Abreu's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Mariano Martins was relentless in the 25th minute of the game. Ricardo Martins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 26th minute. Carlos França tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 29 minutes into the match, Darque FC's Ricardo Martins sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Carlos França narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The Darque FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. Alfredo Sousa hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Jordão Rocha might have been able to make a better finish in the 41st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Mariano Martins. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Alfredo Sousa to strike the kick off in the second half. Mariano Martins showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dércio Abreu, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. The supporters of Lions FC booed when Darque FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 55 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gaspar Garcia didn't get a good kick on the ball. After having played for 58 minutes, Jordão Rocha managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lions FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jordão Rocha was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Mariano Martins showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Dércio Abreu in the 68th minute of the match. If Ricardo Martins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 80 minutes, Angélico Sabrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Lions FC and the Darque FC players grew even worse after the yellow card.
