Spectators: 32 (Terracing: 25, Seating: 7, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Bruno Torcato kicked off to start the match. After a rather tough play, Mortena's Romão Quintela got a free kick in the 7th minute. After having played for 11 minutes, André Moura managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Cabriteira's supporters crossed their fingers, but André Moura was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Osvaldo Malheiro showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Gaspar in the 13th minute of the match. When Caetano Póvoas fell near the penalty area in the 17th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mortena's protests and gave Caetano Póvoas a yellow card for diving instead. In the 17th minute, Caetano Póvoas hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Caetano Póvoas fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Daniel Borges having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Pedro Gaspar in the 25th minute of play forced Mortena's goalkeeper Osvaldo Malheiro to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Bruno Torcato had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mário Macedo's late challenge caught a Mortena's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Mário Macedo helped the player get up and apologised. In the 31st minute, Mário Macedo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If André Moura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 38th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the match clock showed 46 minutes, the score became 1-1 when André Moura sped through Mortena's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Osvaldo Malheiro. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Gaspar stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The supporters of Mortena booed when SC Cabriteira was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 53 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paulo Cardoso didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 55th minute, Bruno Torcato got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Pedro Gaspar in the 58th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Osvaldo Malheiro prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After a rather tough play, Mortena's Caetano Póvoas got a free kick in the 60th minute. After 62 played minutes Mortena got a freekick which was hit by Romão Quintela. Pedro Gaspar fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 65th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Osvaldo Malheiro having to interfere. Bruno Torcato recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 75 minutes into the match, SC Cabriteira's goal looked a bit too open when Bruno Torcato came free, but Daniel Borges reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Palmiro Palma's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Daniel Borges read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 78th minute of play. After 79 played minutes SC Cabriteira got a freekick which was hit by João Morais. Daniel Borges made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bruno Torcato in the 81st minute of play. Mortena's Osvaldo Malheiro played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro Gaspar in the 83rd minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Pedro Gaspar managed to get in a good position for a shot. SC Cabriteira's supporters rose to their feet, but Pedro Gaspar was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Osvaldo Malheiro breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a defensive mix-up in Mortena's zone, Pedro Gaspar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Osvaldo Malheiro came out of the goal and Pedro Gaspar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 94th minute, Cândido Campos hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When SC Cabriteira's Pedro Gaspar in the 96th minute got a chance for a shot 96th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mortena's goalie prevented a goal. André Moura recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 97th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The teams fought very hard right up to the final whistle. Both sets of players were happy to go away with a draw.
