Simão Oliveira recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Martinho Vasques hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. If Afonso Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Afonso Valente who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 19thth minute tested the skills of Almiro Avelar when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Afonso Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Simão Oliveira received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Almiro Avelar tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jacob Lucena kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. Afonso Valente's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Almiro Avelar read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 30th minute of play. Afonso Valente fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Almiro Avelar having to interfere. After having played for 36 minutes, Simão Oliveira managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SC Susao's supporters crossed their fingers, but Simão Oliveira was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. SC Trandeiras's Almiro Avelar proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 37th minute of the match, managed to save SC Trandeiras from getting a goal against them. Almiro Avelar stood somewhat misplaced when Afonso Valente came free in front of goal and shot 1-0 to the left of him in the 40 minute. If Afonso Valente had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Simão Oliveira was the one to do the kick off. Jaime Poças sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Simão Oliveira came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the SC Susao fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Simão Oliveira couldn't finish the play. Joel Ferro was a little too slow when Jorge Bentes got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 61st minute. The score was now 1-1. Almiro Avelar showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Simão Oliveira, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. With a little luck, SC Susao's Joel Ferro got control of the ball when Jaime Poças tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 70th minute, Simão Oliveira left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The SC Susao fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. After a rather tough play, SC Trandeiras's Carlos Trindade got a free kick in the 75th minute. In the 79th minute Jorge Bentes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Joel Ferro saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Afonso Valente sent away a hard shot on goal in the 86th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 98th minute the ball was on its way in behind SC Trandeiras's goalkeeper Almiro Avelar, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar.
