Alexandre Resende started the match with the kick off. Tejao's Zarco Meira proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 7th minute of the match, managed to save Tejao from getting a goal against them. If Eduardo Gomes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Figueiredo FC's Eduardo Gomes got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Eduardo Gomes could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Zarco Meira made a huge save. Gualter Toscano charged in rather forcefully in the 15th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gualter Toscano the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Gualter Toscano kicked well hit freekick during the 15th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Figueiredo FC's zone, Gualter Toscano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Manuel Queirós came out of the goal and Gualter Toscano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 21st minute, Sílvio Mendes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The audience thought a goal was coming when Eduardo Gomes got free with Zarco Meira in the 25th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Eduardo Gomes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 26th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zarco Meira having to interfere. Zarco Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Armando Nunes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Gustavo Lucena charged in rather forcefully in the 29th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Gustavo Lucena the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Tejao was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gustavo Lucena to maneuver through the defense. Eduardo Gomes struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Zarco Meira didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Figueiredo FC. The supporters of Tejao booed when Figueiredo FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 32 match minutes in a wonderful position. Armando Nunes didn't get a good kick on the ball. Eduardo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Zarco Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 37th minute Alexandre Resende shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 39 minutes into the match, Tejao's goalkeeper Zarco Meira had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Eduardo Gomes. Alexandre Resende sent away a hard shot on goal in the 41st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Figueiredo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Eduardo Gomes was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarco Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tejao's defense didn't have a chance, in the 48th minute, when Alexandre Resende scored to the left of an out of position Zarco Meira, making the score, 1-0. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

In the 56th minute Eduardo Gomes shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zarco Meira saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 57th minute, Alexandre Resende managed to get in a good position for a shot. Figueiredo FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Alexandre Resende was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Zarco Meira breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eduardo Gomes might have been able to make a better finish in the 58th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zarco Meira. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Eduardo Gomes ran back to his position shaking his head. Zarco Meira took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Eduardo Gomes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 68th minute of the game. One of Tejao:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Figueiredo FC:s goal. The referee gave Figueiredo FC a penalty, 70 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Mariano Fagundes, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Tejao's Zarco Meira. 3-0. Eduardo Gomes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Zarco Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zarco Meira showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Alexandre Resende, who was totally free with the ball in the 77th minute. 83 minutes into the match, Figueiredo FC's Alexandre Resende sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Zarco Meira narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alexandre Resende received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 97th minute. Zarco Meira tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Figueiredo FC had played much better football throughout.
