The supporters of FC Parada 1996 booed when Fodinchas was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rui Queirós didn't get a good kick on the ball. David Reis didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 1-0 via right post in the game's 9th minute. FC Parada 1996's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! Rui Queirós scored 1-1 in the 19th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jacinto Carvalho, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. When Alex Roriz came up free with the goalie in the 23rd minute, the Fodinchas fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Alex Roriz couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that David Reis's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timóteo Quadros was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. After 26 minutes, Rui Queirós mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Fodinchas and the FC Parada 1996 players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 26th match minute, Fodinchas was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rui Queirós to maneuver through the defense. Sálvio Linhares's late challenge caught a FC Parada 1996's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. In the 30th minute, David Reis got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Reis had several of the Fodinchas's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 36 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 2-1 score and a disappointed Timóteo Quadros as he didn't even see the shot coming. Timóteo Quadros was a little too slow when David Reis got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 39th minute. The score was now 3-1. A collision led to Fodinchas getting a freekick after 42 minutes play. Rui Queirós hit a great ball. In the 44th minute, Hugo Tavares got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. During the 45th minute of the match Rui Queirós completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Rui Queirós a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 46th minute, Rui Queirós hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

The wind increased when Gaspar Salgado made the kick off in the second half. Timóteo Quadros stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Reis's shot from short distance in the 52nd minute. David Reis sent away a hard shot on goal in the 54th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Gaspar Salgado's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jacinto Carvalho read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 57th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Fodinchas's Alex Roriz got a free kick in the 60th minute. The audience was convinced that Hugo Tavares's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Timóteo Quadros was relentless in the 61st minute of the game. 62 minutes into the match, Fodinchas's goal looked a bit too open when David Reis came free, but Timóteo Quadros reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Timóteo Quadros showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from David Reis in the 90th minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in FC Parada 1996's zone, Gaspar Salgado stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacinto Carvalho came out of the goal and Gaspar Salgado tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play.
