If Hermes Aires had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 3rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 6 minutes into the match, Camarnais's goal looked a bit too open when Emílio Fragoso came free, but Celso Pimentel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Dário Perdigão could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 9th minute of the match, but Cláudio Bragança made a huge save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silvano Vidal during the 10th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Silvano Vidal kicked well hit freekick during the 10th minute of the match. In a very dangerous position, a player in Padros fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 11th minute. Penalty! When the match had been going on for 12 minutes, Camarnais's Ronaldo Fernandes got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Cláudio Bragança. Higino Brites fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Celso Pimentel having to interfere. After having played for 21 minutes, Higino Brites managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Padros's supporters crossed their fingers, but Higino Brites was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Celso Pimentel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Emílio Fragoso in the 23rd minute of the match. In the 24th match minute, Camarnais was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hermes Aires to maneuver through the defense. In the 30th minute Emílio Fragoso shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Celso Pimentel saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Padros getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Virgílio Paiva hit a great ball. Padros's Cláudio Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesário Nunes in the 35th minute of play. Cesário Nunes received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Cláudio Bragança came out and tried to block the shot, but Cesário Nunes slotted it home off the left post making it 2-0 in the 36th minute. An unexpected shot in the 42nd minute by Dário Perdigão got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Dário Perdigão had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Cesário Nunes stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 53rd minute, Jorge Tinoco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Padros's Cláudio Bragança played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cesário Nunes in the 62nd minute of play. If Cesário Nunes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Camarnais's Celso Pimentel got control of the ball when Higino Brites tried to sneak it across the goal line. Celso Pimentel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emílio Fragoso, who was totally free with the ball in the 73rd minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Durval Sardinha during the 79th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Camarnais getting a freekick after 79 minutes play. Durval Sardinha hit a great ball. 88 minutes into the match, Higino Brites had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Celso Pimentel. Camarnais's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Higino Brites was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 2-1. Dário Perdigão fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Cláudio Bragança having to interfere. Camarnais were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Padros for a fine match.
